        The theory of agenda setting is primarily based on the way the news reports the information it is given based on what's best for the news station. This means the news that is given is being swayed or filtered based on what the news wants the public to think about a story. For example, if a news station is frequently only reporting bad or intentionally skewed information about a candidate who has opposing views than the owners of the news corporations. This is the definition of agenda setting.
    The theory of gatekeeping is the act of filtering the news to only report the news that they believe to be important an example of this would be someone with investments in Biden not running any news about Hunter Biden's laptop. They are trying to keep information from the publics eye so it isn't asked about. This is an example of gatekeeping the public from the news.

                     My  opinion of why you have to seek out obscure anti war websites is that the mainstream media is biased.  The bias of the main stream media was clearly apparent during the Presidential Election of 2020.  Anyone could see from reading, or watching just a blip of the news which way the bias leaned towards.  Fox News clearly favored Trump, while pretty much every other news source ABD, CBS, and NBC favored Biden.  When it comes to war I am not sure where the truth actually lies.  From reading the websites suggested in the Syllabus on Anti War, there seem to be some credible authors on the website. on The American Conservative Website, author Doug Bandow was a former special assistant to President Ronald Reagan.  Most people look at Ronald Reagan as a good President.  My grandfather looks back on "The Reagan Years" as he says they were very good to him as he was employed...

  COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES REACTION      The presentation I found most interesting was the carrier pigeon presentation. I found it interesting how long the use of carrier Pigeon has spanned over time. The use of the homing pigeon has spanned since the 1800s. There were in fact several pigeons that were given medals by militaries around the world. The most recent use of a homing pigeon I could find was a story in 2015 where Indian police detained a pigeon who was accused of spying for Pakistan.      I realized that communication technology within the past 20 years has changed so fast compared to what it had over the last 200. Showing just how fast technologies in communication have advanced.
